   IEEE Travancore Hub has come up the idea of organizing industrial Visits exclusively for IEEE student members all over Kerala. The event aims in familiarising the students with what happens inside the industries. The Projexon visit included visits to various industries tracks that is concerned with various branches of Engineering. The various tracks includes Biomedical Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Computer science.


      1.FabLabs visit on July 4th

The starting visit of the Projexon was with the visit to FabLabs, Inside Technopark, trivandrum. There were 21 IEEE members who attended the visit. The visit helped them to get familiarize with what all are done in the FabLabs and also how them, as students, can make use of it.

  1. Sree Chithra Thirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology(SC IMST) , BioMedical Technology Wing Visit on July 7th

The Visit to SC IMST BMT wing was a very eyeopener for most students who really wish to do something for the humanity. The IEEE members who had this visit saw many advanced devices and also other technologies that were incubated by SCTIMST and had been made to the product stage after many clinical test. There was a display of various machines used by them and also many of them were in use which helped the students more. Total of 12 students had the chance to visit SCT IMST.


  1. Kerala Police Cyberdome Visit on July 10th.

Kerala Police Cyberdome was set up on 2015 which mainly concentrates on a research of various cyber issues. It was situated in Technopark where modern technologies are used regularly, which help them get updated to these technologies very soon. The visit included a very interesting session where students can ask various queries they have with the  the person there,which ended up to be a very fruitful one. Total 19 students took up the chance to visit Cyberdome this time.



  1. UST Global Visit on July 11th

UST Global which is one of the top companies in the world has its center at Trivandrum and that where students who has a very crazy towards software side was taken. The visit included an insight into what all are done in UST Global and its clients and also many technical things that are taken over by this company was mentioned. There was a mentioning of Infinity labs that work in UST Global where students/ Interns can work on the various prototype and can get the things done Many students showed interest in that also got a  chance to express those. This time 16 students did turn out for the visit. 


5. NTPC Kayamkulam Visit on July 13th

NTPC Kayamkulam is a combined cycle power plant located at Choolatheruvu in Alappuzha district in Kerala. The power plant is owned by NTPC Ltd. The visit included and insight into fuelliing by imported and indigenious naptha. 15 participants were a part of the visit.


6. BrahMos Aerospace Ltd visit on July 14th

Brahmos Aerospace is a joint venture between the DRDO and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise NPOM(Russia) under BrahMos Aerospace. The industry gave an insight into missile manufacturing for a world class missile facility with system integration and testing. Students were taken on  a tour of the company’s various manufacturing units where sophisticated techniques of mechanical and electrical engineering  were employed.  The visit was 3 hours long and proved to be a very informative session. A participation of 18 students was seen.
